Project Platypus are specialists in delivering invasive plant control.

We are based in Stawell and operate around Western Victoria. We are an accredited commercial operator for chemical application services for environmental weeds and place particular emphasis on controlling invasive species in an environmentally sensitive and responsible manner.

Offerings

  • Spot spraying - grass, vine and shrub weeds that are treatable with chemical application
  • Small Boom Application - roadsides, hardstands/parking areas, small lot spraying
  • Hand Cutting - for controlling invasive plants in sensitive environments where options are limited
  • Tree Felling- woody weeds that are too big to treat with conventional options (up to 40m tall and a diameter of 50-80cm)

  • 4wd utes with twin retractable hose reels and 400/600lt tanks
  • 18ft folding boom sprayer

Steps

  1. Submit Expression of Interest

    Via phone, email or the online EOI form, available below. If possible, provide information on species, area/size of infestation, access, livestock, and any long term aims/goals of treatment.

  2. Site visit

    Conducted by our team to identify species, extent of infestation, and any special considerations (such as access, land uses, neighbours, topography)

  3. Create works plan

    Works plan provided to client, including most appropriate treatment options and explanation of costs.

  4. Works scheduled

    Will coincide with optimum treatment of target species. Likely to be at least 2-3 weeks from initial query due to current work schedules, sometimes longer in busy seasons (Autumn/Spring)

  5. Works delivered

    A crew of 2 - 4 staff will treat the target weed species using the appropriate equipment

  6. Customer invoiced

  7. Feedback collected
